Privacy Policy

This notice describes SpeedN 1.0.0 for iPhone, provided by Beijing ZKVideo Technology Co., Ltd., and this product website.

Local information

SpeedN stores history, custom service hostnames, preferences, consent choices and test-limit timestamps on your device. Reports are generated locally. Device hardware, iOS details and interface addresses are displayed locally and are not uploaded to a SpeedN backend. There are no accounts, advertising, analytics, Alibaba monitoring or remote logging SDKs.

Network permissions

First entry offers Agree & Enable Network Checks or Continue Offline. With network checks enabled, Home looks up your public IP and checks your selected service. Opening Services checks built-in and saved destinations with up to three concurrent bounded HTTPS requests. You can withdraw this permission in Net → Settings. M-Lab has a separate first-use disclosure and permission.

Diagnostics and external providers

Website and service checks contact the destination you choose. TCP Check connects to your specified host and port. These destinations and network operators can observe ordinary request information, including your public IP. DNS Lookup sends a hostname and A or AAAA record type to Google Public DNS. Public IP lookup contacts country.is, which returns your public IP and country. The region is approximate and may reflect a VPN or proxy. No GPS permission is requested.

M-Lab bandwidth tests

Before the first test, SpeedN asks you to explicitly allow M-Lab collection and publication. The app remembers the agreement date locally. M-Lab receives public IP, timestamps, connection measurements and application metadata, retains test data indefinitely and makes it public. Data remains linked to the public IP; it is not anonymous. Review the M-Lab Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Do not run these tests if you do not accept this publication. Resetting permission or clearing SpeedN history does not withdraw previously published data. Provider privacy requests must be addressed to M-Lab under its policy.

Optional Globalping remote probes

Globalping receives your source IP and the destination, measurement type and probe country you submit. Measurement results can be retrieved by ID for up to seven days. Do not submit confidential destinations. Stopping SpeedN's request does not cancel a probe already submitted. See Globalping's API documentation and provider privacy policy.

Retention, deletion and sharing

Local history remains until you delete it. You can clear all history, delete individual results, and change network choices in Settings. Reports are shared only through your action in the iOS share sheet and omit public IP. The app does not send saved history to a SpeedN server. Providers retain their data under their own policies; deleting local records does not delete their records.

Support and website requests

If you contact support, we use your email and the information you choose to send to answer your request. Do not send sensitive data. This website uses Notion for published content and Cloudflare to deliver the English pages at speedn.xicopilot.com. Cloudflare processes ordinary website-request information, including your IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the site under its Privacy Policy. Page text is fetched from Notion without forwarding your browser cookies or authorization headers. Images hosted by Notion, and visits to the original Notion pages, send ordinary request information to Notion under its Privacy Policy. SpeedN does not add advertising or analytics scripts to these pages. Visiting this website does not run a speed test or a public-IP lookup. TestFlight feedback is processed by Apple under its terms and privacy policy.

Privacy requests and changes

Use the contact in Support for questions about SpeedN data or requests to access or delete support correspondence. Contact the relevant provider for data it controls. This notice will be updated when practices change; the date above identifies the current notice.
